I was born in Liverpool in 1974 and first took an interest in photography while tattooing. My parents bought me an SLR to document my work and archive my portfolio of ink. Like most people I carried the camera when travelling and learned more about it.
In my early 20s, I launched a design agency with great friend and still business partner. Necessarily, the work involved a level of photography, over time the interest and skill set grew. As time passed, the creative aspects of my career were largely swallowed in the day to day running of a business, so I began shooting people as a quick release – a creative outlet with absolutely no agenda. I’ve moved from beauty, into fashion and kind of out the other side, though it seems a rise in stock has seen me shooting more fashion than i’d thought i would.
I work out of a converted corn mill on the west midlands / worcestershire border.
